Sick....

Rather sick tonight so no SL for me.  Instead I laid in bed and watched some tutorials on youtube on how to use the clothing templates.  Tomorrow if I'm feeling better I may pull up my GIMP and try to make a simple shirt.

Also may have a rant or two on something else I've been informed about in SL.

Big Spiked Bracelet

When you need a wrist... and partial forearm... full of spikes to make a statement. Five rings of spikes all lined up to hopefully get you some notice. At a price you can't pass up.

Mod and Copy enabled. So you feel free to adjust it all you need, just be sure to make a copy beforehand in case you make a mistake, or five.

For those who wonder, the outfit I'm wearing in the pic is from the store Graves and is the G40 Split Suit.

My new items on the Marketplace

Okay I finally got inworld and fixed the perms and then listed my items.  Two new pretty simple halo's, spinning with some nice spikes on them. In white and black, with and without light.

The Abonwood Collection

New product and....oh wait I forgot....

-facepalms-

Just worked and got four halos ready for my store.  Well two actually just with and without light versions in the same box.  Did the quick little picture add for it, got the boxes made up, dropped them in my magic boxes, hopped out of world and got ready to get them up on my marketplace.

When I realized I forgot to set the perms.

So now (well actually later I have other rl stuff to get done) I have to go back inworld.  Delete the two boxes in my magic boxes, then delete the halo's from the inside of their delivery boxes, set the perms on the halo's and put them back in the delivery boxes, put those back in the magic boxes... and then finally get them up on my store.

So this post was supposed to be a listing for my new products... instead it's me saying they will be up a bit later if not tomorrow.  Anyways here's the 'with light' versions.  Black and white, spinning with spikes.

Spinning Chain Halo

The spinning chain halo is the first addition to my store besides some filler pictures for sale.

https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/74756

This is the 3rd version of this halo that I've come up with.  Got a couple alternate versions that I will be making here soon.

Marketplace Store

Set up a Marketplace store finally.  Not much there yet.  But I've got some things in the works that I will hopefully be putting up over the next few weeks.

Change

Have you ever felt like you no longer fit in someplaces that you used to?  This has been happening to me in SL lately.  For a while now I haven't been going around much and been staying either in my sandbox or with my Mistress a lot.  But every now and then I'll get out and go see some of the places I used to spend a lot of time at.

But it really isn't the same anymore.  Same people, same place any changes are minor but I go there and ... well I just don't belong.  Maybe I have changed more than I thought since putting on the collar.  Today I went to an old hangout it was in a new location but pretty much the same building and several of the same old people.  Didn't fit anymore.

Sometimes change is good and other times it's bad.  Othertimes you're just not sure which it is.

Bye -hugs and kisses- to RedZone

zFire Xue and several of his alts... GONE.  His store... wiped clean.   RedZone units in world show up as not functioning.  Apparently the hammer has dropped.  A bit more on Theia's blog:

http://theiamagic.blogspot.com/?zx=3603521fbdaf4e49

Looks like somebody learned that you don't poke the sleeping Lindens with a stick.  He got his hands, arms and face bit off.  Lots of stuff popping up over on the SLU forums also.

If anything new comes up I'll post it.  Hopefully I'll start doing updates once every three or four days on really unimportant stuff now.  Actually build a few more things and get around to getting closer to opening that store I talk about from time to time.

Mistress will be happy to see one of my obsessions gone.

Back to some more RZ thoughts...

Some more news on the RZ front.  Well it seems now that the creator of RZ, zFire Xue, is actually an ex-con.  Guilty of several different things that really make him one not to be trusted.  More info at:

http://no2redzone.wordpress.com/

A few more thoughts somebody brought up on the SLU forums.  His system is set up to figure out peoples alts and his site is set up to harvest peoples passwords.  Now most folks probably use the same password for all their alts.  So it appears he was working the both together for the biggest bang, get one and you probably get them all.

Now on his old .com site he used to have a 'buy' subsection where he sold linden dollars.  So mix that with the paragraph above and you can figure out where he was going to get (or got) all the L$'s from.  If he was smart he could even get them without attracting much notice, a hundred here a hundred there, all sent to his 'delivery' alt.  Kind of how they do it in WoW with gold sellers.

Hopefully the only reason LL is silent right now is because there is legal actions going on.

Wrist full of spikes.

Okay time for a little break from the RZ stuff.  Instead this is a new little build I put together.  It started off as a bracelet with a few spikes on it and then grew a bit after that.  All in all it's 47 prim, 40 of them being spikes.  Made a few mistakes while putting it together but it was a great lesson learning little project.

The picture was taken while Mistress and I were shopping at Graves (which I am wearing one of their outfits in this picture).  Along with a Zen Creations erotica tail (I save my submissive tail for when we are alone together).

Hopefully I'll get a couple more done in the next few weeks.

RZ site hacked, truth comes out.

http://alphavilleherald.com/2011/03/zf-redzone-security-breached-sl-passwords-compromised.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+AlphavilleHerald+%28Alphaville+Herald%29

Okay the isellsl site got hacked and got hacked hard.  They also made screenshots of what they found and sent them to the alphavilleherald.  All of this completely backs up the youtube video that was discovered a few days ago.

Really you have to see the pictures they provided.  Possible SL passwords, ability to manually enter copybotters in a really simple little entry box.

Check out the link above.

RedZone back on the marketplace

https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/zF-RedZone-v42Boxed/2034341?id=2034341&slug=zF-RedZone-v42Boxed

Looks like he finally got permission to put it back on the marketplace.  That or he put it up Friday after the Lindens leave the office for the weekend to grab some sales.

My notes on the video

So now zFire and his blind followers are now making some accusations that the video is fake and there was some hacking done to do so.

Okay, here's the big giant problem with that theory, IF the person could hack YouTube then why haven't they hacked zFires site and database.  I mean really, if there is some hacker that is good enough to hack a site that spends a good chunk of money on security (anonymous couldn't hack it even, all they've done is guess passwords) just to change a creation date then his server would be nothing to get into.  There a little logic (and I do mean a little) completely blows his theory out the door.

Not to mention the other videos that were up there.  Also that you were watching that account with your two other accounts.  Don't forget the voice matching up and the face looking just like you.  Yeah lets just forget all that.

Now I just feel sorry for some of your followers.  I used to really dislike them, not there is just pity.  How sombody can be so blind to the truth that is right in front of them that they will latch onto anything to keep believing otherwise.

Oh my... and on video even....

Breaking news on the RZ front.  This has to be read (and watched) to be believed.  Head on over to Theia's blog for more info:

So amazing when a skeleton gets dug out of a closet.

Guess who finally admits it...

Bunderwahl finally reveals his true views of what he used RZ for.  Look at what he refers to as the 'good ole days'.

"In the good old days it would have told yoou the names and you could have compared the profiles but due to changes made in ToS RZ had to change to comply"

Yep the same guy who told us all that he didn't care about peoples alts lets us all know that he actually did.  Hope everyone on his sim knows this, be a great way to set up a honey trap at an adult sim.

Sunday, March 6, 2011

zFire wants to show part of your alt names again...or is at least talking about it.

Well zFire is talking about showing parts of Alt names again.  I guess he didn't realize that it probably helped shoot him in the foot the last time.  Talk about trying to fudge your way around the TOS some more and get smacked back some more.

"If anything this Phoenix thing is helping encourage people to use media, and setting a standard where RZ might follow by begining to list alts by ***ing out the last few letters of alt names.
For example user
arnold schwarzenegger
Might be able to be listed WITHOUT consent as "arn*** sch***********" under the same logic that allows Phoenix to show a censored version of URLs. This would be great, right?
The only issue is first Phoenix must do this, so that I can go to LL and say "well then it is only fair for me to say "arn*** sch***********", but the question is, must I block out half of a word? May I show the number of characters in a word? Or must it be ""arn*** sch****"
Or how about "ar**ld schw*****egger"?
That last one is really BS, but that is for LL to decide, right? Would "a****d s****r" be more secure? Blocking the number of characters, and 90% of the word?
How about Unnamed Alts, but showing the birthday of each unnamed alt? Profile pictures? (Blurred?), payment info?
You see this is all new territory for everyone."

So yeah he likes to slime around it as much as possible.

Now then Bunder shows his lack of understanding also in the same thread.

"Sri I like you and Phoenix.. I still think the patch is wrong, and that it wasnt a very neutral thing to put in. You cant sell one side guns and give the other side a smile saying "We are neutral""

No it doesn't take sides.  It helps plug the media hole that is being used by systems other than RZ as well.  Also it's most likely going to be getting used by a lot of systems in the works also now that people can start to see how it's done.  Not to mention the same guy you are responding to has even stated that this was something they were talking about back when Emerald was still around.

Google

Goto google.  Type in zf redzone.  Then just look through a few pages of results.

I haven't done this for a few weeks now and decided to do so again today.  I was amazed.  So many sites, twitter feeds, SL newsources and blogs, most of which I had never heard of.  All of them very negative about RZ and the way it functions.  A lot of us felt the movement against it was somewhat small and a lot of folks were unaware of the problem... but now I'm not so sure.

English sites, spanish sites, some I'm not sure what language they were using.  All agreeing on one thing.  RedZone is bad and needs to be removed from SL.

All I can say is keep it going. Keep telling people and informing them of what it does.  Also what it doesn't, like y'know, stop copybotters.

I will admit there are some nice security ideas in there but with everything else wrapped up in there they aren't worth it.

Number games....

-facepalm-

Some RZ guys still believe that there are 22k units in operation.

Sorry everytime any RZ unit is rezzed that number goes up one.  So when somebody takes theirs down to put it someplace else, the number goes up.  Whenever something goes wrong with it and they take it down and rerez it, the number goes up (rerezzing is a common fix after updates from a few things I've read).  Lets not forget about taking it down so you can put a stealthed one up (which still counts to the system as putting a unit up).

Also notice the number went up this last time when it was pulled from the Marketplace and Soft Linden himself went down and took down the vendors.  So no new units were being sold... and the number went up.  Funny how that happens isn't it......

Also I bet its pretty likely that whenever somebody sets up the demo version the number goes  up.

So how many are there?  Well considering a lot of places have also taken theirs down completely, that some aren't used for scanning and were bought by stalkers/griefers for the HUD and that some were also bought just by people to see how they work.

I would put that number way WAY lower than 22k.

More fun comments from the RZ folks

From Fuzen (wonder what HIS sl name is and what sim he runs, probably doesn't even run one) over on the RZ forums:

"...the sims listed in that privacy breaching list compiled by the BDSM institute."

Now the RZers are complainin that their privacy is being breached.  So once again they can rip right through your privacy but by god you better not mess with thiers.  This goes hand in hand with their arguement about 'IPs are public anybody can get them' and the griping when theirs are shown.

Not to mention in the same post he is telling people to ues a copybot viewer and get themselves tagged as copybotters.  A grid wide opt out would be to nice.  They just want that copybot stopped number to go up.

All they think about is themselves proof positive.

Then Bunder (one of the very few RZers who uses his SL name and lists his sim so at least he is the more honest of the bunch) stated this in a thread about people wanting to be banned from rz sims and how he doesn't want to do it.

"I just want to have fun and make my place somewhere everyone can have fun at."

No he doesn't.  Or he would understand there is a large group of folks who DON'T want to be scanned into an offsite database controlled by somebody who has lied to his own customer on his site for the product.  So he doesn't want a place where everyone can have fun at, he wants to HIDE his RZ, much less put up a sign so that new people to the sim can at least make a choice about it.

Nope he simply claims he wants a place where everyone can have fun at.  Nope he's just like the rest and thinks of himself but just likes to add in some more lines to make it look otherwise.

Chains over my head.

Put together a new halo last night in all of about five minutes.  A nice lovely chain halo.  It uses the same chain texture as the Open Collar items do so when you see it still, like in this picture, you can tell the links aren't connected.  However... I make my halos spin so you can't actually tell in world when you see it.  Thinking of a couple of ways to tweak it a little but it's another item that will be available when I finally get enough things together to open an inworld store.

PS Also going to make a version available with the Open Collar scripts available in it.  Just not sure how well the leash will work on a spinning object though.

One other thought...

Okay I have to post again.  Now there is someone on the RZ forums claiming to own 60 sims.  But do they name a single one?  NOPE.  Later when I get inworld I'll look up the name she signed up with on the RZ forums and see if there is an avi name with that and see if they are some big huge land renter or something.

Another suprising thing, how few people on RZ forums ever give out their SL names....  But a lot of us GZers do.

Again I will say it.  There are a lot of people on those forums lying about what they own, not all mind you, but a lot.  Guess that's one way of making themselves look big.

A few more questions about RZ have come to mind.

"llSensor() scans still detect your avatar, log your visit location, name, age, payment status, prefered language, UUID, etc."

That's from the RZ FAQ.  Now I have a question about that.  Who views my location visits?  Is it only for the owner of the RZ unit that scans me in his areaa?  Or is it shared with other users?  Basically if it's telling all other users where I've been, how often I go there and etc this become, yet another, stalker dream tool.

Also when a RZ user scans me with their HUD does it record all this as well REGARDLESS of wether or not I'm on their sim?  What bussiness is it of theirs to keep track of me when I'm not on their sim?

Also I want to know what that little 'etc' also entails.  It really shouldn't be to hard to list what ALL it records now should it.  Unless there is something it's recording he doesn't want you to know....

Wednesday, March 2, 2011

A few more thoughts for the night.

Okay I've noticed something.  Out of all these people on the RZ forums who claim to be upstanding sim owners with bussinesses and all sorts of content very few of them use their SL name.  Nor do they ever say what sim, club, shop, etc is theirs.  So basically it makes me wonder... how many of them are simply lying through their teeth in an attempt to look 'better' than everyone else.

I mean so far the only person that I've noticed that is very public about his sim is the owner of Dark Alley.  Then he's also proved himself to be pretty much two faced.  The rest of the hate filled screamers I give even less credit to.

I've seen more GZ folks come out and say what they own or create.  I've seen public announcements by shops that they are getting rid of RZ on their property.  All I've seen from RZ is people scurring away claiming they don't have it and then getting hostile when you say they do.  I've seen a few big shops and a couple of sims with RZ, but I've been on many more that don't.

I bet their numbers are a lot lower than they boast.  I would be really suprised if they break out of the one thousand range, well at least with owners of RZ that actually 'own' something to protect with it.  Not all the people who bought it just to 'go out and bust up some alts' as Cole Cybertar would say.

Redzone recieves a labotomy

Okay so finally LL has taken some more actions.  Basically this one boils down to any attempt to show a persons alts is not allowed EVEN with consent.  It's not allowed, done, sorry.  Personally I bet this was put in place due to three things.  ONE - zFire was outed by one of his own supporters that he promoted some people to admins and they had access to the database (which he denied later on of course).  TWO - Several folks were commenting that their alts were being shown without their consent (imagine that....).  THREE - zFire was elbow deep in discussion on his forums about how to show alts and work it around the TOS
(one of their genius ideas was to scramble the first letters of the name ex I might end up as kotosi cbonwood).  So basically they shot themselves in the foot.  LL gave them an area to work in and they went around it so LL took even more room away from them, I think all they have is a closet left now.

ANYWAYS... here's soft lindens post from the JIRA

Soft Linden commented on VWR-24746:
-----------------------------------

Hey, all. I got the go-ahead to give an update on zF Red Zone specifically. Again, thank you for the ARs with specific info about violations. These have been very helpful for letting Lindens know what's going on.

Tuesday morning, we removed zF Red Zone from the Marketplace for a second time. We removed the in-world vendor distributing the item as well. We determined that zF Red Zone was still in violation of our Terms of Service and Community Standards.

We asked for removal by no later than today of all zF Red Zone functionality that discloses any alternate account names. That is, even if consent is asked, the service may not act on the consent. In addition, we asked for removal by no later than Friday of the interface for and any remaining implementation of the zF Red Zone consent mechanism because it does not comply with our policies. If these updates are not made, we will take appropriate steps to remedy the violations.

As before, we appreciate your help in keeping an eye on content. If you find that any merchant's product is not in compliance with our TOS or our Community Standards, please file an abuse report about the product. Do this even if you filed against a previous version. Include a specific explanation of what you believe is a violation, and ideally select and report the in-world object at issue in case it behaves differently than what's in the Marketplace. Before reporting, make sure you have first-hand knowledge of the issue. Support can best react if you explain specific steps to reproduce or confirm a violation.

Two links for you.

Okay how about a few links about RedZone for anybody who happens to read this.  First up is no2redzone.

http://no2redzone.wordpress.com/

This one is very well done, some posts get very technical and are soaked in internet geekspeak that I don't have a prayer to understand.  While other posts are full or cutting wit and even more give you plenty of information and usually quite a bit of proof to back up what they are saying.

Next up is One Big Blond Moment.

http://theiamagic.blogspot.com/

This is normally a blog for Theia Magic.  But since RZ has come up she has been a pretty big driving force in getting people in the know and for uncovering various places running.  You should check out her RedZone free lists and give those shops/clubs/etc some traffic and maybe even some L$.  But ever better is the new blacklist.  This is a list of folks found hiding RZ so you can't pick up with the GZ hud.  At least one has completely denied using it until caught.  Oh yes, she likes to put up proof as well.
